Intinor Showcases SMPTE ST 2110 Advancements and DVB comp...

At IBC2026, Intinor will demonstrate its latest developments and present a practical path for broadcasters transitioning to IP workflows. The showcase focuses on newly released over-the-air software upgrades, alongside ST 2110 advancements and DVB-compliant HEVC.

Available now for the Direkt series, the latest update introduces HDR HLG metadata passthrough, meaning critical color data remains intact from SDI input, through MPEG-TS transport, straight to the final SDI output. On the IP video side, NDI advanced configuration is now available in the Intinor Direkt Management interface to give engineers much finer control over specific NDI settings. This firmware also includes NDI 6.3 that adds 10-bit I/O to ensure accurate color depth is maintained during high-quality IP productions.

Looking ahead, Intinor is demonstrating concrete progress on ST 2110 for the Direkt series. The next major update will introduce SMPTE ST 2110 output, providing a direct gateway for bringing compressed public internet feeds cleanly into modern uncompressed facilities. To bridge the gap with traditional distribution workflows, this update will also add DVB-compliant HEVC to save bandwidth without sacrificing interoperability. Further down the roadmap, Intinor plans to add ST 2110 input to create a complete, two-way IP video gateway, expanding the capabilities of the Swedish army knife of video transport.

Broadcasters today are expected to juggle feeds from a massive variety of sources, which often means dealing with unpredictable internet connections and unverified third-party SRT streams, said Peder Boberg, Product Owner at Intinor.

Our customers rely on the Direkt series to act as a secure gateway, using tools like Bifrost and SMPTE 2022-7 redundancy to protect those feeds and hand them off safely into the control room. By demonstrating ST 2110 advancements alongside immediate updates for NDI , HDR HLG, and HEVC, we are showing visitors how to manage these complex hybrid environments without abandoning the platform they already trust.
