The preacher and actress Inno Sadiki, who plays Sthoko in SABC1's soapie Skeem Saam bagged her first Netflix role as Mahlatse, Sipho Ndlovu's on-screen wife in The Throne.

-- INSIDE INNO SADIKI'S LATEST CHARACTER The 34-year-old actress and reality TV star Inno Sadiki is over the moon over her new role as Mahlatse in The Throne. The Skeem Saam actress and The Wife actor Sipho Ndlovu lead the Nextflix series as husband and wife.

The star tells Daily Sun that she's still trying to process everything and it feels really great and worth it.

It just puts that mark and validation to say I'm walking in my purpose and living it. And it feels good to have these celebrations because sometimes it gets tiring and such things to revive your spirit and energy.

The film also stars the late Muvhango actor Candy Moloi, as well as the late Skeem Saam actor Charles Maja and David Maja.

BACKGROUND OF THE THRONE' According to the publication, the show is about the sons of a king who are fighting for the throne, and Sadiki is the wife of one of the sons. The sons want to take over the family name, and dynamics and want to rule and reign over the entire community.

It was filmed in 208, such a long time ago, and I guess the producers never stopped pushing it. They worked hard to make sure it goes out there. And their hard work finally got it onto Netflix.

Sadiki adds that The Throne is based on a Pedi story and the actors speak proper Pedi and represent the people.

It's authentic, it's told in a South African way in a way that our people can understand, and I think it was well achieved.

The actress is also on the reality TV show Pastor's Wives which airs on Honey TV (channel 173).
