Six-hour New Year's Eve spectacle to be broadcast live on City and Citytv.com

TORONTO (December 12, 2013) This New Year's Eve, Canadians can turn to City for the night's hottest party Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2014, presented by Chevrolet with a six-hour marathon on Tuesday, Dec. 31 from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. ET/PT on City and Citytv.com. The night's festivities kick off with a two-hour countdown looking at the 30 greatest female artists in music, hosted by Ryan Seacrest, Jenny McCarthy, and Fergie. The party continues with a music spectacle where Seacrest shines the spotlight on some of the year's hottest artists and songs, while Fergie hosts festivities in Los Angeles and McCarthy anchors the New Year's celebrations from Times Square in New York City.

Throughout the six-hour broadcast, viewers can check in on celebrations north of the border with coverage of City's annual celebrations in Toronto's Nathan Phillips Square hosted by favourite City on-air personalities.

Adding a Canadian perspective to the night's celebrations, CityNews will broadcast a 30-minute national edition newscast at 11 p.m. ET/PT. Immediately following, New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2014 continues as Seacrest is joined by thousands of revelers and live performances from Canadian superstar Robin Thicke, Jennifer Hudson, Jason Derulo, Fallout Boy, and Enrique Iglesias as the party gears up to the annual ball drop in Times Square at midnight.
