German digital specialist is expanding its range of complete one-stop solutions through the acquisition of the Bavarian IPTV & video-networking specialist Teracue 20 Feb 2014

Starting 17 February 2014, eyevis, leading manufacturer of high quality visual display and video wall solutions, has acquired the business of Teracue AG at Odelzhausen near Munich. Teracue, leading manufacturer of hardware and software products of IPTV solutions and video networking, has been transferred with all rights on trademarks, names and patents as well as all employees into the new Teracue eyevis GmbH. With that takeover eyevis and Teracue are combining their strengths and resources in product development and distribution, and are setting trends on streaming solutions for professional applications.

We are excited about the integration into a larger corporate environment and the enhanced possibilities for further development and greater international sales opportunities. That will enable further growth and hence will sustainably secure our expertise and our jobs, say Wolfgang Schmiegelt and Karl-Heinz Wenisch from the former board of management of Teracue AG and now managing directors of the new Teracue eyevis GmbH.

The acquisition is a win-win situation for both companies, underlines Michael W. Nagel, CEO of eyevis GmbH. With the increasing demand on high-quality streaming systems, together with Teracue we are offering unique solutions in the areas of control room, presentation and information, and broadcast from one source. Teracue will benefit from our large international sales network which will significantly expand their existing sales channels. Through this acquisition eyevis will expand its expertise in streaming solutions as well as signal transmission over standard IP systems. Our customers will benefit from our strengthened position as a comprehensive provider of intelligent solutions for networking and visualisation. First joint products have already been presented at this years Integrated Systems Europe in Amsterdam in early February along with eyevis eyeCON MetaWall 2.0 solution.

The Reutlingen-based eyevis GmbH is taking over all brands, names and patent rights as well as all the staff and management of Teracue and is transferring them into the new Teracue eyevis GmbH. By that, Teracues customers can be assured that the companys expertise will be maintained in the future and will be further expanded, explains Michael W. Nagel, eyevis CEO.
