Film, music and virtual reality contents come together Festival Samsung MADFUN The celebration of this festival in Madrid coincides with a turning point for virtual reality, a technology that is reaching new areas like film or music, captivating millions of people around the world.

Today and tomorrow, 21 and 22 October, the Caja M gica (Madrid) hosts the festival Samsung MADFUN, a macro event of digital entertainment where attendees can enjoy virtual reality experiences never before view, thanks to the Samsung Gear VR technology. Samsung will have a special space dedicated to virtual reality Gear VR Experience, so that attendees can live next to their exciting idols immersive experiences. The event is organized by MKTG and Animal Maker, with the collaboration of Samsung as official sponsor.

This festival will bring together for the first time in Spain to the great youtubers of the moment with his audience. With a planned capacity of more than 20,000 young people, Samsung MADFUN will count with the participation of stars of Youtube, including the Rubius, Mangel, Patry Jordan, Yellow Mellow, Dulceida, Celopan and Loulogio. The festival will be divided into three sessions - music, entertainment, and lifestyle - engaged three of the most popular Internet topics, and will feature a wide range of activities for all ages.

Youtuber Mark Miller, considered "that virtual reality is one of the trends that packs a punch stronger in the coming years. I have joined since the beginning of the initiatives that this field has launched Samsung and the truth is that I am very happy with the experiences and that have taken into account the artists of Youtube."

Area VR Experience

During the festival, visitors can enjoy a unique space of virtual reality, the area VR Experience of Samsung. In this tent, users will have at its disposal a great variety of experiences of virtual reality in which live a total immersion in environments related to the film, television, animation and sport. They will be screened, for example, the contents of virtual reality by some of the youtubers most popular in Spain, with the aim that his fans can interact with them and feel them closer than ever.

In Gear VR Experience you will also enjoy short film Ceremony Nacho Vigalondo, conceived and filmed entirely in virtual reality; exclusive content produced by journalist Jalis de la Serna and musician Pablo Albor n; and a shocking experience in which the visitor will feel a real roller coaster. Finally, the Sitges horror and fantasy film festival drive Samsung Sitges Cocoon experience to Samsung MADFUN, offering some of the most interesting international short films of this genre, such as Catatonic, Sisters, The Rose & I o Mr Robot. Attendees will also see in this space a part of VRs promotion of the film premiering on October 28 Ouija: The origin of evil within this space.

While the youtubers are enjoying the experience of virtual reality, live connections will be made to participate to the public the unique sensations of immersion. A contest whereby eligible visitors to the area VR Experience will also be developed. The prize will be an exclusive meeting on Saturday, October 22 with their idols youtubers, along with a gift by Samsung.

During the presentation of Samsung MADFUN, Vigalondo has been accompanied by Mike Hostench of the Sitges Festival, pioneer in devoting a section to virtual reality space Samsung Sitges Cocoon, in which viewers could enjoy shocking parts immersive of fantasy, horror and science fiction.
