Atomos has officially launched its new Atomos Cloud Studio, which provides users with a combination of network-connected devices and cloud services for sharing media and collaborating with remote team members.
It is a collection of new cloud-based video production services and launches with Atomos Stream and shortly after Atomos Capture to Cloud, which will introduce C2C workflows.
According to the company, Atomos Cloud Studio offers support for Shogun Connect, Atomos Connect for Ninja V/V+, and Zato Connect.
Zato Connect provides support for HDMI and USB UVC sources and it was designed to be an accessible and easy way to create a livestream or increase the capabilities of a webcam. Atomos Connect is a network accessory designed to attach to the Atomos Ninja V and Ninja V+ production devices for monitoring and recording. Shogun Connect is an all-in-one production device with all of the connected technologies built-in. All three devices support Atomos Cloud Studio.
Atomos has also developed a full implementation of NDI|HX standard for both Atomos Connect and Shogun Connect.
Initial support will be for NDI|HX encode (to act as an NDI source or transmission device). Following a software update later this year Atomos said it will introduce NDI|HX decode (to receive the NDI source signal for viewing and recording). This will enable customers to share the picture between multiple devices locally and select a specific device (or devices) to record the NDI encoded file, said the company.
Atomos announced it will also launch Live Production, a complete, cloud-based control room for live video and remote collaboration later this year.
The toolset includes a fully featured video switcher and sound mixer, with video effects, graphics, and talkback.
