Customers Also Gain Additional Choice and Flexibility in Architecting Their Big data Analytics Strategy with New NetApp Open Solution for Hadoop Rack
SAN JOSE, Calif., Hadoop Summit 2012- June 13, 2012-Today, customers gained two new choices to deploy enterprise-ready Apache Hadoop solutions and solve their big data analytics requirements.
First, NetApp (NASDAQ: NTAP) and Hortonworks entered a strategic partnership to develop and pretest joint Apache Hadoop solutions using Hortonworks Data Platform. These solutions will help customers simplify access to their data and gain deeper business insight to make the right decisions faster.
Second, NetApp unveiled the NetApp Open Solution for Hadoop Rack, which combines network, compute, and storage resources for customers who need a ready-to-deploy enterprise Hadoop solution. The new solution bolsters NetApps existing Hadoop portfolio and gives customers greater choice and flexibility to deploy Hadoop in their enterprise.
Separately, NetApp today introduced enhanced data protection and simplified management capabilities to help customers accelerate their big data innovation on the NetApp E-Series platform. NetApp and Hortonworks Contribute to Open Apache Hadoop
Extracting business value from data requires the right analytics tools, servers, and storage to ingest and analyze the data.
