The perception of cyber-attacks and data security has changed noticeably in recent years. As a result of the increasing digitalization of business and IT processes, both the points of attack and the number of attacks by cyber criminals are increasing. Gateways for hackers have often been and still are outdated IT landscapes. Further dangers result from insufficient prioritization of protection against cyber threats.
As digitalization progresses, protection against cyber-attacks is now attracting increasing attention from top management. The relocation of business and IT processes to the cloud is playing an increasingly important role. And indeed, security aspects, along with agility, flexibility and scalability, are the most important reasons for this. At the same time, many companies continue to operate parts of their legacy IT in traditional data centers. These hybrid, complex IT landscapes must be protected - but what are effective strategies for doing so?
