Audio Limited showcases A10-RACK and A10 Digital Wireless innovations at IBC 2018

AMSTERDAM, SEPTEMBER 13, 2018 - Audio Limited's A10-RACK makes its debut, bringing with it the flexibility of Dante .

Audio Limited, will be exhibiting at IBC 2018 (on Sound Devices Stand 8.A32) its groundbreaking, Dante-enabled wireless receiver enclosure, the new A10-RACK. The sleek, 1U, rack-mount enclosure accepts up to four slot-in, dual-channel wireless receivers. The A10-RACK is compatible with many Unislot and Superslot-compatible receivers, such as Audio Limited's A10-RX, as well as some models by Wisycom and Lectrosonics. The A10-RACK offers powering and antenna distribution for up to four dual-channel receivers, for a total of 8 channels. These 8 channels can be output as analogue and/or AES digital audio via XLR-M connectors simultaneously with the 8 channels over the Dante Ethernet interface. The 1-RU rack is ideal for cart-based workflows and productions that require full Dante audio network integration. It also features RF pass-through capability to enable cascading of two A10-RACKs for a total of 16 channels.

Also in the spotlight at this year's IBC, the other members of the A10 Wireless family, which includes the versatile, Superslot-compatible A10-RX Digital Two-Channel True Diversity Receiver and the A10-TX Digital Bodypack Transmitter with built-in recording capability-ideal for wireless booming without compromise.

The A10-RX Two-Channel True Diversity Receiver is available in either a Superslot version with DB-25 connector (A10-RX-SL) or with hard-wired XLR and power connectors (A10-RX-XLR). Both A10-RX tune over the full system bandwidth of 470 to 694 MHz, so the receiver may be used with any A10-TX transmitter. Combined with its proprietary digital RF topology and Advanced Digital Diversity System, it is capable of selecting the receiver with the best RF signal and combining weak signals to ensure the best broadcast quality audio and most reliable digital RF performance.

The A10-TX Digital Transmitter provides a low-noise, studio-grade balanced input for mic- and line-level inputs. It features an excellent analogue limiter, analogue low-cut filters, 48V phantom power, and an integrated digital recorder with ultra-accurate timecode generator. External timecode can be jam-synced to the A10-TX through the LEMO input connector, and the A10 will maintain timecode even during battery changes. So, while booming, the transmitter ensures a backup ISO recording is made to a microSD card complete with SMPTE timecode. Four A10-TX models are available: the A10-TX-A (470-548 MHz), A10-TX-B (518-608 MHz), A10-TX-C (594-694 MHz), A10-TX-D (534.2-629.8 MHz). The A10-TX-D is intended for customers in Europe who want the flexibility of working in the United States while keeping Ch 38, 39, 40 (606-630MHz) for UK, and some parts of Europe. Two additional models, the A10-TX-AU (470-548 MHz) and A10-TX-BU (518-608 MHz), are designed specifically for the U.S. market.

The A10-RX and A10-TX products are already shipping worldwide. The A10-Rack will begin shipping shortly after the close of the show in Amsterdam.
