CP Cases Launches Airship The Most Lightweight Customised Protective Cases On The Market

CP Cases, the designer and manufacturer of high-performance protective cases and 19 inch racks, has developed a new product range for the safe and secure transportation of broadcast industry equipment. The new product range - Airshiptm is 50% lighter than the current market leader and was developed in response to the continued market need to come up with better protective solutions, whilst offering significant improvements in lightweight cases. Airship provides a more cost effective solution for the transportation of industry equipment for broadcast and production professionals, camera and ENG crews. Airshiptm by CP Cases is being exhibited at IBC RAI Amsterdam between 14 19 September at stand number 10.A44.

Most cost effective weatherproof protective case

Airshiptm protective cases ensure weatherproof transportation of equipment with significant costs savings due to the optimised weight over the traditional heavy hard shell ruggedised flight cases that until now have been used for protecting valuable and sensitive equipment. Instead, Airshiptm cases maintain their rigidity and strength due to special bonded layers of honeycomb polypropylene and rigid closed cell foam to provide a featherweight block that is machined to exactly match the equipment it is protecting. Offering drop, shock and vibration protection, Airship turns conventional rugged case design thinking inside out where the foam pack no longer requires a heavy, hard outer shell.

Fully accredited IP66 climatic protection

The design of the case can be manufactured as a typical base/lid container, a lightweight back pack or shoulder bag, or a pull along wheeled container like a piece of industrial luggage. The hardwearing, abrasion resistant texturised nylon fabric outer is very user friendly, easily cleanable and has no hard corners. Airshiptm cases are comfortable to handle and feature handles, webbing strap pull downs and weatherproof industrial zips. A unique feature of Airship is the male/female weatherproof seal between base and lid, which is accomplished by routing the mating seal from the substrate closed cell foam. This novel engineered weatherproof seal provides Airship with a fully accredited climatic seal to IP66 ensuring your equipment is protected against gale force winds and extreme rain, as well as being totally dust proof. Airship is also scheduled for MIL STD 810G testing.
