Experts to discuss trends in Virtual Reality; Emerging workflows and Technologies; and best practices for vertical applications
Golden, Colo. Nov. 10, 2015 Wowza Media Systems , the gold standard in streaming software and services, today announced that Company executives and experts will join other streaming industry leaders to present the emerging technologies, trends, and workflows for live video streaming at Streaming Media West 2016, set to take place Oct. 31 Nov. 2, 2016, in Huntington Beach, Calif.
Chris Knowlton, Vice President and streaming industry evangelist at Wowza, will lead several sessions that examine best practices and workflows for streaming. Moderating panels on higher education, internal streaming solutions, and emerging technologies, Knowlton will dive into issues concerning scaling, low latency, streaming formats to adopt or abandon, and building video workflows that meet an organization's unique needs. He'll also lead an interactive session during which participants can experience live 360 streaming themselves on their own devices.
James Jackson, Sr. Director of Product Marketing, also will present during the conference, demonstrating easy workflows for building 4K and VR/360 Live Streaming. During the session, attendees will see a 15-minute demo of how to ingest and process 4K/360 live sources, record the video for on-demand playback, and deliver the live feed with global any-screen streaming.
Lastly, Wowza will host a dedicated training session on building key end-to-end streaming workflows using Wowza technologies. Led by Streaming Media All-Star Robert Reinhardt, the session will provide hands-on training for multiple on-demand and live streaming workflows. Along the way, the session will cover options and real-world best practices for each step, touching on use cases for enterprise video, mobile journalism, sporting events, concerts, education use cases, and many more.
