Sky Commissions The 100 Day Split, A New Relationship Series Exploring What Time Apart Reveals About Lifelong Love

Sky has commissioned The 100 Day Split, a bold new relationship series following six couples who have been together since they were young and have now reached a crossroads. They will take on a 100-day challenge, designed to help them rebuild their connection, grow as individuals and determine their future as a couple.

In this daring and emotional TV first, produced by Bright Entertainment, part of ITV Studios, partners become singletons, challenging them to put their individual needs first and reconnect with who they are outside the relationships they've always known.

In this 12-part series coming next year, couples embark on a complete reset by temporarily living apart, using the separation to focus fully on themselves for the first time in years. Through new routines, emotional distance and experiences such as revisiting forgotten passions, rethinking career paths, building their sense of independence or even exploring dating apps, they are encouraged to reflect honestly on their needs and ambitions. By rediscovering who they are as individuals, the couples hope to understand what must change-and how they can grow stronger together by being apart.

Rooted in therapeutic approaches used and endorsed by relationship counsellors, the 100-day timeframe provides enough space for any conflict and tensions to settle, allowing for deep reflection on what participants want their future to look like - individually and together. Guided through the experience by experts, they'll step outside familiar patterns, challenge long-held habits and face truths they may have avoided - all to understand how they can renew their relationship and fix any unaddressed issues.

After 100 days they will reunite, but will time apart reignite the spark that first brought them together or reveal that they'd be happier apart?

Casting for the series is currently underway, with filming set to begin later this summer.
