From September 9 -13, 2016 ZEISS will be presenting the new ZEISS Lightweight LWZ.3 21-100mm/T2.9-3.9 T* (ZEISS LWZ.3), three new ZEISS Milvus focal lengths, and other new products and product segments during the IBC Show in Amsterdam at booth 12.F50. The ZEISS LWZ.3, a zoom lens that meets the requirements of professional cinematographers, has a light weight, a compact design and high optical performance, among other features. ZEISS will also present three new focal lengths for the ZEISS Milvus family of lenses: two super wide-angle lenses, the ZEISS Milvus 2.8/15 and ZEISS Milvus 2.8/18, and a telephoto lens called the ZEISS Milvus 2/135. Visitors to the ZEISS stand can also test other products, such as the new virtual reality glasses, ZEISS VR ONE Plus, or lenses for mobile photography, the ExoLens with optics by ZEISS for the iPhone iPhone is a trademark of Apple Inc.. During the IBC 2016, ZEISS will demonstrate once again its wide expertise in many different fields of optics. Universal zoom for professional film productions
With the ZEISS LWZ.3, the optics company is presenting a zoom lens that is suitable for a wide usage spectrum due to its light weight of just 2 kilos. Thanks to its optical quality, large angle of focus rotation for precise focusing, and the high quality of materials used in its construction, the ZEISS LWZ.3 is the ideal lens for sophisticated productions for many different application scenarios. The new zoom lens is compatible with all common professional cine cameras, and will be available starting January 2017.
Three new lenses for the ZEISS Milvus lens family
The two super wide-angle lenses - the ZEISS Milvus 2.8/15 and ZEISS Milvus 2.8/18 and the ZEISS Milvus 2/135 telephoto lens have expanded this manual-focus lens family for professional cameras. In total, there are now nine ZEISS Milvus focal lengths. Thanks to its excellent imaging quality and large range of now 15 to 135 millimeters, the ZEISS Milvus lens family is a valuable investment for the future, said Christophe Casenave, product manager at ZEISS Camera Lenses. Delivery of the new ZEISS Milvus lenses will begin end of October 2016.
ZEISS Lens Gear: still lenses becomes cine lenses
The ZEISS Lens Gear Rings make the high-quality portfolio of ZEISS camera lenses accessible for cinematographers. With a choice of four different sizes mini, small, medium and large cinematographers can find the right solution in order to work precisely with a follow focus system on the set. The all-metal rings fit all ZEISS Milvus, ZEISS Otus and ZEISS Loxia lenses. As a result, ZEISS camera lenses become endowed with similar characteristics as a full cine lens. Customers can therefore also work with their camera lenses in a professional way with immediate effect.

The Consumer Optics business group combines the companys business with camera and movie lenses, binoculars, spotting scopes, hunting optics and planetarium technology. It is represented at the Oberkochen, Wetzlar and Jena sites. The business group is allocated to the Vision Care/Consumer Optics segment. In fiscal year 2014/15 the segment generated revenue of 1.007 billion with around 9,100 employees
