Vizrt Group, like many of our customers, is a global company with offices around the world, including China, Thailand, Norway, and many other countries currently affected by the recent Coronavirus outbreak. This is an emerging situation with many unknowns, and as yet unclear consequences for us all. We wish nothing but the best of health and safety for all our employees, customers, contacts, and all the people of the world.
For our customers in the most severely affected regions, we are all adapting to the situation as we receive information and guidance from the relevant authorities. Currently preventative travel restrictions mean many people are staying at home and are relying on live television news channels to keep informed of the situation.
In recognition of the unprecedented situation our customers, partners, contacts and colleagues find themselves in, we have collated a list of the various product features, Viz University training courses, and virtual meet-ups to help our customers continue producing news and live content effectively whilst being mindful of the prevailing health advice and the safety of their people.
It is easy to see how these situations, with the health and safety of employees being paramount, can put additional stress on a business seeking to adapt to changing operational environments while meeting their obligations and commitments. This seems particularly true with our own customers. This and other unforeseen crises underscore the strategic importance of organizational resilience and the ability to quickly adapt. At the Vizrt Group, we believe we have a role to play in helping our customers deploy innovative technologies to help mitigate such unplanned events.
Here are some specifics of how our tools can help with remote productions and staff working remotely:
Viz Mosart, the powerful studio automation system, helps broadcasters create top quality shows through automation, so rundowns can be executed more efficiently and even remotely utilizing virtualized control rooms Viz Mosart enables production of more content, faster, allowing multiple feeds or more shows to be created within a single control room. Because it enables highly automated workflows to be deployed, the possibility of on-air errors is massively reduced.
NDI, Vizrt Group's innovative high-performance IP-based video standard enables a mobile phone to become a broadcast quality source, allowing content to flow in from wherever the stories are, without the need to mobilize large and expensive equipment and resources. NDI also enables remote production. Its low latency exploitation of the flexibility of existing IP networks means broadcasters can position the control room or studio staff in remote locations, allowing them to deploy the right resources regardless of location.
Globally, over 400 million desktops already have Skype for Content Creators with NDI installed. That means high quality, remote content production, perhaps interviews or other reportage may be simpler to achieve than you may think
Viz Story, the flexible digital content production system enables quick turnaround of stories, without having to be on-site, or in the TV station, allowing journalists to create, edit and publish their visual stories wherever they are, right from their browser.
At the Vizrt Group we offer a wealth of online courses through our platform Viz University, which can be accessed from home, to help customers explore the features of our automation tools The introductory Viz Artist course is available to all, and, accompanied by the free download of Viz Artist, allows anyone to learn the creative language of the world's richest live production graphics ecosystem.
