Anwender haben aktuell die Wahl zwischen zwei Modellen: Die Boardlevel-Variante UV-1551LE verf gt ber einen M12 Standardanschluss f r kosteng nstige S-Mount-Objektive, bei der Version UV-1552LE handelt es sich um eine reine Boardlevel-Kamera. Beide Modelle sind mit dem 1/3 2 MP CMOS-Sensor (MT9D131STC) von Aptina ausgestattet und bieten eine Aufl sung von 1600 x 1200 Pixeln bei einem Seitenverh ltnis von 4:3 und eine Framerate von 15 Bildern pro Sekunde. Weitere verf gbare Aufl sungen sind VGA (640 x 480), SVGA (800 x 600) und HD (1024 x 768). Zu den manuell einstellbaren Features geh ren u. a. Helligkeit, Kontrast, S ttigung, Sch rfe und Belichtungszeit. Via DirectShow (Windows) oder Video4Linux (Linux) k nnen Anwender eigene Applikationen f r die UVC-Kameras implementieren. Die neuen UVC-Modelle sind perfekt geeignet f r Anwendungsgebiete im Bereich Machine Vision, im Maschinen- und Kleinger tebau, im Transportwesen, in der Prozess berwachung und -kontrolle sowie dar ber hinaus f r Embedded- und Kiosksysteme. Zur schnellen Einrichtung und Evaluierung der Kamera empfiehlt IDS den VLC Player sowie AMCap (Windows), GUVCView (Linux) und Facetime (OS X).
UVC steht f r USB Video Class und ist ein Standard, der bestimmte Ger te zu einer speziellen Klasse von USB-Ger ten zusammenfasst. UVC-Industriekameras von IDS haben den Vorteil, dass sie f r ihren Betrieb keinen speziellen Treiber ben tigen, da ein einheitlicher UVC-Treiber den Betrieb der Kameras herstellerunabh ngig erm glicht. Der Anwender muss die Kamera also nur mit seinem PC verbinden, schon ist sie einsatzbereit und liefert ein Bild.
