GameTime Productions Delivers National Broadcast Production for AUSL Season

GameTime Productions provided national broadcast production services for the Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL) 2026 season, with coverage distributed across ESPN platforms, CBS Sports Network, MLB Network, MLB.TV, and Scripps Sports Network. The Utah Talons won the AUSL Championship on July 26, sweeping the Chicago Bandits for their second consecutive title.

Produced over nearly three months across seven market locations - including Rosemont, Illinois; Portland, Oregon; Round Rock, Texas; Oklahoma City; Salt Lake City; and College Station, Texas - the production was led by GameTime Productions with engineering support from sister company TNDV and mobile production resources from Live Media. Most broadcasts were produced remotely from Nashville using TNDV's Dugout control rooms, which allowed teams to manage simultaneous games from multiple locations. GameTime provided dedicated production personnel for 12 regular season games and supported up to three games in a single day from different markets. A small production team also supported Spanish-language announcers for ESPN Deportes feeds.

Production elements included POVORA wearable cameras for on-player and umpire POV perspectives, on-field microphones, iPhones for live and replay capture, customized graphics packages, integrated Trackman statistical dashboards, and remote guest integration for MLB Network's Call to the Bullpen segment. Live Media deployed a mobile production unit for the ESPN playoff and championship broadcasts, remaining in place for the two-game Championship Final as games aired on ABC and ESPN.

Our engineering strategy was designed around flexibility and scalability, says Chris Payne, Vice President of Engineering, TNDV. We were simultaneously transporting dozens of synchronized video, audio and data feeds from ballparks across the country back to Nashville, where our production teams could produce multiple live games at once. That workflow allowed us to efficiently support a demanding national schedule, while giving every broadcast the same production quality audiences expect from major league sports.
