Telos Alliance Welcomes SCISYS as Newest Livewire Partner

The Telos Alliance leader in broadcast technology and parent company to Telos , Omnia , Axia , 25-Seven , Linear Acoustic , and Minnetonka announced today that it has added SCISYS Deutschland GmbH as its newest Livewire partner. SCISYS is a manufacturer of Media Asset Management Systems specializing in turnkey solutions for radio production and playout.
SCISYS is aware of the increasing importance of Audio over IP to our customers, and becoming a Livewire partner is a way to respond to these new requirements. We hope to raise customer awareness that AoIP is not only something everyone talks about, but something being used in real-world environments, says Michael Thielen, Business Manager, Media Broadcasting Solutions. Our systems are fit for the new challenges arising with broadcasters, and partnering with Livewire will show our customers an innovative way of using standard network connections for future-proof radio production and playout.
AES67, AoIP, and Interoperability are picking up more momentum, and not just in the broadcast industry, says Marty Sacks, VP of Sales, Support, and Marketing at Telos Alliance. Our Livewire partnership program continues to grow, as more and more broadcasters consider the importance of their baseline AoIP protocol and what it can and can't do. We welcome SCISYS to our expanding family of more than 85 Livewire partners.
The Telos Alliance is the inventor of AoIP for broadcast, informing much of the early work on the AES67 standard. The technology in all Axia products is Livewire, an AoIP protocol that enables high-reliability, low-delay uncompressed digital audio over Ethernet, including audio, logic, control, and program associated data (PAD). Axia and the Telos Alliance are committed proponents of AoIP interoperability first as charter, supporting members of the X192 Working Group that defined AES67, and now as founding members of the Media Networking Alliance, a group of prominent equipment manufacturers formed to actively promote the adoption and implementation of the AES67 standard.
