R&S CMW290 Functional Radio Communication Tester

Munich | 10/20/2015 | Test & Measurement Rohde & Schwarz to demonstrate its multifaceted T&M portfolio at productronica 2015 From high end instruments to universal testers, Rohde & Schwarz is bringing its entire line of test and measurement equipment for lab, R&D and production needs to productronica 2015. At booth 375 in hall A1, the company will showcase its ever growing oscilloscope portfolio as well as a number of innovative products. When it comes to speed, precision, flexibility and reliability, the demands on production T&M equipment are constantly growing. Rohde & Schwarz is responding to these needs and will present a product portfolio that sets new standards at productronica 2015. The Munich-based electronics group has, for example, added the R&S HMO12x2 series to its oscilloscope line. The functional range and easy operation of these instruments make them ideal for carrying out repairs and for troubleshooting.

Rohde & Schwarz will also present its new R&S TS71xx line of optimized, shielded RF test boxes for production testing of wireless devices and functional testing of M2M and IoT components. M2M and IoT users will also have the opportunity to learn about a new extension for the R&S CMW290, which was specifically designed to meet the demands of service environments. The R&S CMW290 is a reduced version of the world-leading R&S CMW500 mobile radio communication tester and can be used for both developing and manufacturing wireless devices.

The R&S SMBV-P101 GNSS production tester is an innovation tailored to the manufacturing environment. It supports four satellite systems (GPS, Glonass, BeiDou and Galileo) for GNSS chipset and module production. Speed is the key feature of the compact R&S SGT100A and R&S FPS instruments for RF component testing. The R&S SGT100A is an extremely fast and compact vector signal generator up to 6 GHz. The R&S FPS signal and spectrum analyzer offers test applications for all major mobile radio and wireless standards.

Production is not the only environment where speed counts. Development labs also require fast measurements. The new R&S FSWP phase noise analyzer and VCO tester delivers top measurement speeds. The instrument enables users to measure the spectral purity of signal sources such as generators, synthesizers and voltage-controlled oscillators (VCOs) faster than with any other solution. The extremely low phase noise of the R&S FSWP local oscillator, coupled with cross-correlation, even makes it possible to easily measure signal sources that in the past required complex test setups. The R&S FSW85 high end signal and spectrum analyzer is the only instrument on the market that can cover the frequency range from 2 Hz to 85 GHz in a single sweep. This makes it perfect for complex measurement tasks in the fields of automotive radar, 5G and other wireless communications, as well as in aerospace and defense.

Rohde & Schwarz will also present highlights from its portfolios of EMI test and measurement equipment and RF power sensors. The R&S NRPxxS and R&S NRPxxSN USB three-path diode power sensors offer unprecedented measurement speed and accuracy even at low levels. The R&S NRPxxSN versions contain both a USB and a LAN interface.
