Nominations for the 2023 WRAL Voters' Choice Awards are open

The ninth-annual WRAL Voters' Choice Awards presented by NeighborHealth are open for nominations now at wral.com/vcas! The nomination period for the awards runs through October 8.

Each year, your nominations and votes help WRAL recognize local favorites across over 100 categories. There is no cost for businesses to be nominated, voted on or win awards. Help your favorite people, places and businesses get the recognition they deserve.

You can submit one nomination per category per day. Let your favorite businesses know you nominated them by tagging them on social media, and share the ballot with your friends and family using #WRALVCAs. We may share some of your best posts.

Checklist for business owners

Spread the word with your fans. We're sending our list of business owners the new sharable graphics, so if you're on the list, be on the lookout.

Join our list. If you aren't on the list, sign up here to get updates about the awards along with the link to get promotional graphics.

Use your channels. Each year we see creative businesses sharing the ballot with their email list, social media channels and on their website. Some businesses also opt to create in-store signage.

Sponsor the awards. Support local businesses and learn more about our sponsorship opportunities to expand your own promotional efforts and grow brand awareness.

Your nominations determine the finalists

The top five finalists in every category based on your nominations will be revealed on October 16, and then voting begins. Voting will close on November 19. Winners will be announced in January 2024.

Use Voters' Choice Awards as your go-to guide all year

You can use the Voters' Choice Awards as a resource throughout the year. Winners, honorable mentions and finalists remain listed on the ballot page under their categories after the winners are announced. Bookmark the new ballot now, and use it as a guide for everything local when finalists are announced in October. See the 2022 ballot.

The top five nominees in each category will move on to the voting ballot as finalists. Voting runs Oct. 16 to Nov. 19, and you can vote once per category.
