Company recognised as a Top 150 national workplace in largest survey of American workers of its kind

CAMBRIDGE, MA January 31, 2013 Akamai Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: AKAM), the leading cloud platform for helping enterprises provide secure, high-performing user experiences on any device, anywhere, today announced that it has been named one of Americas Top Workplaces by WorkplaceDynamics. Akamai was ranked among the top 150 national workplaces from a list of over 870 organizations that participated in regional top workplace programs and that have more than 1,000 employees nationwide.

The National Top Workplaces list was determined solely by feedback gathered through an objective employee survey. The survey was conducted by WorkplaceDynamics, LLP, the leading on-demand employee survey provider, in conjunction with 30 leading regional newspapers. Akamai participated in The Boston Globes Top Workplaces 2012 programme, and was named one of the Top Places to Work, 2012 among Massachusetts businesses. Akamai ranked 14th among Massachusetts largest employers and was the highest-ranking software company in the category.

The WorkplaceDynamics survey uses a proprietary set of 22 questions to rank companies. The survey data showed that employees most want to work at companies with high levels of organizational health. Companies that set a clear direction for their future; execute well; and bring real meaning to work are the healthiest, according to WorkplaceDynamics.
