TAG offers monitoring on AWS and Microsoft Cloud solutions TAG Video Systems has announced its MCM-9000 software platform can now run on the Microsoft Azure Cloud in addition to its existing support for Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Users can monitor live production, playout and delivery of OTT content in the Cloud via the platform.

Gal Waldman, chief product officer for TAG, said, As a 100 per cent IP-based platform, TAG has been deploying our solutions on Commercial off The Shelf (COTS) hardware for over 13 years which made it a lot easier for us to move to the Cloud. We're now pleased to expand our Cloud deployments by supporting Microsoft Azure in addition to AWS. The support also underscores our Zer0 Friction business strategy by providing customers with operational agility to manage the software across applications and locations, and maximise asset utilisation.

Mo-Sys introduces StarTracker Studio Mo-Sys has launched what it describes as the world's first pre-assembled production package. The system, StarTracker Studio, is scalable to any size production, and can support 4K Ultra HD.

The studio bundles camera tracking with cameras and mounts and a high-performance virtual graphics system based on the latest version of the Unreal Engine and the Ultimatte keyer. Mo-Sys's plug-in interfaces directly between the camera tracking and the Unreal Engine.

The standard package is supplied with three Blackmagic Ursa Mini 4.6K cameras with Canon 18 - 80 zoom lenses, and paired with Mo-Sys StarTracker tracking units. The kit also includes a camera jib, a rolling tripod and a camera rail set. An 8 channel Atem production switcher provides the live output for broadcast or streaming, and three video recorders are included for separate programme, key and graphics recording. The package also includes the Mo-Sys Beam In kit to bring remote guests into the virtual studio.

Sony debuts new POV camera with enhanced HDR workflows Sony is launching a new point of view (POV) system camera with remote functionality and 1080/50p HDR capability.

The HDC-P31 includes enhanced remote features as well as three 2/3 global shutter CMOS image sensor that enables high sensitivity and low noise.

According to Sony, the camera is ideal for studio and sports production.

Norbert Paquet, head of live production at Sony Professional said, From resolution and form factor to future capabilities, Sony provides choices that empower our users. With the launch of the HDC-P31, Sony is delivering a solution that responds to the industry's request for remote functionality, paired with a smaller footprint for more mounting freedom, both of which contribute to a streamlined media production workflow.

Teletream unveils next generation of IQ processing Telestream has unveiled its next generation of IQ Solutions that is designed to enable operators to find and fix faults fast.

IQ Solutions now provide single-pane-of-glass OTT stream monitoring supporting combined adaptive bit rate (ARB) and linear video workflow analytics and correlated diagnostics, the company said.

Telestream has integrated Sentry linear probes from Tektronix Video with its Surveyor TS (Transport Stream) probes in its IQ Solutions. (Both companies merged in April 2019.) Nice People At Work (NPAW) YOUBORA player analytics have also been added to provide complete end-to-end monitoring of OTT streaming and IPTV distribution networks.

IQ Solutions manage and measure video quality from the source at the video player and at key points in between.
