Thapelo Molomo has been crowned the Idols SA season 18 winner and South Africa could not be happier as they feel this win is well-deserved.

The 29-year-old has taken to Instagram page and credited God for coming out tops.

All honour and glory be unto God Family, we are officially crowned Idols SA winner of Season 18, 2022. All this is because of the mighty God we serve, the instant millionaire said

We have seen his power and ability. Thank you family for all your votes and support throughout. I have seen your unconditional love , he said.

SAPS CONGRATULATES THAPELO The South African Police Service (SAPS) has congratulated Thapelo on his win and said that they are immensely proud of him.

In a released statement, the SAPS said, [Thapelo] began his career in the SAPS as an intern within the Psychological Services Section.

He was later employed to serve as a trauma counsellor in the same environment.

As a registered counsellor attached to the Employee Health and Wellness component, the member holds a B.A (Hons) Psychology degree

Thapelo is responsible for providing counselling and proactive psychological interventions to alleviate mental health ills for police members and their families, he says.

The Minister of Police Bheki Cele attended the grand finale said Thapelo, serves as a beacon of hope for many police officers who are on a daily basis faced with psychosocial challenges.

He has illustrated to thousands of officers that hard work, determination and perseverance is the foundation of any successful human being. We are proud of him and wish him all the best, Cele says.

THAPELO SHOCKED BY WIN TWEEPS REACT Viewers and Thapelo's legion of fans have taken to Twitter to express their excitement for the winner.

When it was announced that he had won the singing competition, Thapelo just stood there and was visibly shocked with the results.
