Convenience and Ease of Operation Characterize High Profile Project
Mahwah, NJ (February 11, 2014) - Rabobank, one of the largest financial service providers in the Netherlands, has invested in a state-of-the-art robotic camera control system from Telemetrics, Inc. The seven camera system, sold through Albion Technical Distribution Ltd. in the UK and D&MS of Holland, was installed in the auditorium of Rabobank's new corporate headquarters in Utrecht, Netherlands.
Telemetrics robotic camera control systems allow for easy operator control and more dynamic and interesting options in framing crowd and speaker shots, explains Colin Clarke, Albion's Managing Director. The real benefit for Rabobank though is how the technology enables more effective and engaging communication, whether live or recorded.
A spokesperson for Rabobank confirmed they are very pleased with the Telemetrics system. The system consists of a seven camera set including three of Telemetrics' new high quality, multi-purpose HDSC-1 high definition cameras complete with Canon 20x zoom lenses and four Panasonic AW-HE870 cameras with Fujinon lenses, each mounted on a Telemetrics CP-S4 pan/tilt head.
Two of the pan/tilt heads with Telemetrics HDSC-1 cameras were customized with a white finish to blend into their mounting position on a white wall at the back of the stage area, which doubles as a projection screen. The third Telemetrics camera was mounted on a tripod to allow front-of-stage positional freedom during different presentations.
The control system, Telemetrics CPS-ST-S studio control software with convergence technology, delivers exceptionally smooth camera movements for live on-air production. A rack mount PC with 21 touch screen is interfaced with dual control CP-D3A desktop controllers with bi-directional feedback via an Ethernet connection, and recall of all axis, pan, tilt, zoom and focus functions. The HD video signals are fed to a switcher and simultaneously projected as side by side images onto the white wall at the back of the stage.
Telemetrics offered a complete solution for this project including dual control points, full automation, AMX interfacing and dual video switching from the camera selection to the operator's monitors, said Mr. Clarke. The performance, convenience and quality of their system products and the support from Telemetrics made all the difference in exceeding client expectations and making this high profile project a success.
