Former Uzalo actor Nay Maps has officially made his music debut with his heartwarming single, I'll Be There. The track was officially released on Thursday 28 July and shows off the actor's incredible vocal range.

NAY MAPS' MUSIC JOURNEY Speaking to SowetanLive in 2021, Nay Maps said he has always had a love for music and aims to put out quality music for his fans. The 31-year-old cites his late father as his biggest musical inspiration.

Now is the right time for me to venture into music because I have very interesting stories that I want to share, stories that I feel people will relate to. The things that I have gone through to date I think are enough to tell that through my music, explained the multi-talented star.

Nay Maps' single release will be followed by an album that is set to be a fusion of genres.

At the same time, it still won't be confined to just that, he said.

I'LL BE THERE' Nay Maps officially launched his love song, I'll Be There, on 28 July at an intimate event in Johannesburg. The star also gives fans a taste of his stellar piano skills on the track.

I am excited and truly honoured to share this intimate piece of me with the people I love the most, my family and friends and I hope South Africa will also appreciate what I have been meaning to share with them for such a long time now, my music, the star said as per IOL.

I'll Be There also marks one of many projects lined up for Nay Maps in 2022.

WHAT'S NEXT FOR NAY MAPS? The talented actor was one of Mzansi's busiest stars in 2021, juggling three television shows and a film. The actor scored a lead role in Netflix's Little Big Mouth, alongside Amanda du Pont.

The actor is currently shooting season two of Umkhoka and has a few other projects lineup
