Former Scandal! actress Lusanda Mbane and The Queen actor Loyiso McDonald have joined Mzansi Magic's drama series, Mzali Wam.

The new season of the popular drama series is set to return on 3 January 2022.

LOYISO MCDONALD EXITS THE QUEEN' Award-winning actor Loyiso McDonald exited The Queen in August after playing Kagiso Khoza for five seasons.

The actor exited the Mzansi Magic telenovela to join The Market Theatre at the time of his departure.

Sowetan has not yet confirmed what role McDonald will play on the upcoming season in Mzali Wam.

McDonald will also be joined by actors Dumisani Mbebe, Oros Mampofu, Lungelo Mpangase, and Nolwazi Shange in the upcoming season.

LUSANDA MBANE EXITS SCANDAL!' Seasoned actress Lusanda Mbane who is popularly known for her role as Boniswa Langa has also joined Mzali Wam.

Mbane currently plays the role of Makhosazanea on e.tv's third most-watched soapie, Imbewu: The Seed.

The actress exited the popular soapie back in August to work on her business, Zazi Zithande Zithembe.

Playing Makhosazana is the return I never expected. She has had me hit the ground running.

I played Boniswa for years and after letting go of the role, I had to mourn her.

Makhosazana has been a great welcome back to the screen character for me.

UPCOMING STORYLINE ON MZALI WAM' The drama series, Mzali Wam has become popular for its riveting storylines and talented cast.

The show features some of Mzansi's popular actresses such as Khabonina Qubeka, Joyce Skefu, Nokuthula Ledwaba and more.

M-Net's newly appointed director of local entertainment channels, Shirley Adonis, said:
