Berklee Artist Aiida Covers Fleetwood Mac's Landslide' The new video, released in celebration of International Women's Day, is part of an ongoing collaboration between Berklee and Primary Wave Music.

The Berklee Popular Music Institute (BPMI) continues its partnership with Primary Wave Music with the premiere of a new music video by Berklee student artist Aiida performing Fleetwood Mac's iconic Landslide. Released in celebration of International Women's Day, Landslide is the latest in a series of cover song videos to come out of the first partnership between a college music business program and a major publishing company.

The students at Berklee never cease to amaze me, not only with their creativity but by always pushing boundaries and taking risks with their interpretations of such classic and staple songs that are engrained in popular music culture, said Rob Dippold, partner and chief digital strategy officer for Primary Wave Music. They always go the extra mile to learn about the artist and song, and then produce a stunning package (video and audio) that executes their vision at the highest quality.

The BPMI class previously released four videos covering Primary Wave artists, including Bob Marleys Three Little Birds, Donny Hathaways This Christmas, Frees All Right Now, and WAR's Why Can't We Be Friends?, timed with respective anniversaries for each song. To date, these videos have amassed a combined 1.1 million-plus views on Berklee's YouTube channel.

Since the spring of 2020, when Jeff Dorenfeld, founder and director of BPMI, and Rob Dippold first developed this project, weve seen outstanding growth in our students abilities to collaborate creatively and logistically, said Morgan Milardo, BPMI's media and operations manager. Landslide is such an iconic piece of music; we were honored to be given the opportunity to reimagine it with a modern spin. It has been incredibly rewarding to guide students to a place where they are now confidently stepping out of their comfort zones to create content at this level.

The BPMI students took part in every aspect of the production on Landslide, from storyboarding and directing to managing contracts. Produced by Boston-based Bottle Tree Pictures, the video features Boston Conservatory at Berklee student Emma Kate Rosenfeld, who choreographed and danced in the video.

I'm really grateful to have been part of this amazing project, and it ended up getting very personal for me, said Aiida, a singer-songwriter from Oslo, Norway. The lyrics really spoke to my family and me, as we were going through the process of losing a loved one and adapting to such a huge landslide in our lives. I believe the song will remain a classic because of its unique soul, no matter how anyone chooses to dress it.
