RT today (Wednesday 5 April, 2023) launched its GAA Championship 2023 coverage with an event in Studio 5, RT - the home of The Sunday Game. Presenters Joanne Cantwell, Jacqui Hurley and Damian Lawlor were joined by RT GAA pundits Peter Canavan, Joe Canning, Lee Keegan, Ursula Jacob, David Tubridy, Jackie Tyrrell and Cora Staunton as details of RT 's Championship coverage were announced across tv, radio and online.

2023 will see more live GAA Championship coverage across RT and GAAGO in English and as Gaeilge with 31 live games on RT television and RT Player as well as the Joe McDonagh Cup final, and both Tailteann Cup semi-finals and final.

For the first time ever, this season will see individual match highlights available on the RT website and social media.

The live action on The Sunday Game Live will continue to be presented by Joanne Cantwell. Alongside the enduring Sunday night staple that is The Sunday Game with new presenter Jacqui Hurley. Saturday evenings will see new highlights show, The Saturday Game, presented by Damian Lawlor. RT 's commitment to its camogie coverage has gone from strength to strength as we will see 11 live matches televised this year.

The RT News channel and RT Player will carry Irish language commentary on select games (to be announced) with both hurling and football All-Ireland finals featuring full Irish language presentation and panellists for the first time ever.

In addition to the RT television coverage, GAAGO has exclusive rights to 38 All-Ireland Championship games in 2023: 22 Football Championship games, nine from the Hurling Championship and seven Tailteann Cup games. More than 30 games will receive TV-level outside broadcast treatment with live graphics, commentary and match analysis, multi-camera setup and replays. Gr inne McElwain will lead new analysis teams in both codes including analysts Michael Murphy, Marc S and Paddy Andrews (football), Seamus Hickey, Tommy Walsh, and Eoin Cadogan (hurling), with more to be announced.

RT 's comprehensive GAA Championship coverage across RT television, radio, and online guarantees quality free-to-air coverage to audiences in Ireland across 12 months of the year alongside coverage of the Allianz Leagues and the AIB Club Championships.

This year RT Radio 1 will deliver comprehensive coverage of the hurling and football championships to listeners at home and abroad. Saturday Sport every weekend from 2pm will be extended to cover the big evening games and, as always, Sunday Sport will have commentary and analysis every weekend right up to the hurling and football finals. The Championship, presented by Damian Lawlor, will air every Friday evening on Radio 1 at 10pm and will be available on podcast from lunchtime every Friday.

Match commentators will include Pauric Lodge, Darragh Maloney, Marty Morrissey, Ger Canning, Adrian Eames, and John Kenny alongside our panel of top analysts who will feature across all RT platforms throughout the summer. RT 2FM's Game On continues weekdays from 6pm throughout the summer with all the latest Championship reaction and analysis.

RT Raidi na Gaeltachta holds the Irish-language rights to all GAA Championship matches, and will be bringing listeners a bumper summer of sports coverage with live commentary, reporting, post-match interviews and analysis on its weekend sports shows, Sp rt an tSathairn, Sp rt an Tr thn na and Sp rt an Lae. T Football analysts will include Dara Cinn ide, Lorc n M irt n, Coman Goggins, M ire N Bhraon in, Tom s Flatharta, Gary Brennan, Stephen Joyce and Charlie Vernon, while Michael Rice, Joe Connolly, Cathal Moore, Pat Fleury and Claire O'Connor will line out as RT Radio na Gaeltachta's hurling analysts.
