Fallece Alberto Oliart, presidente de RTVE entre 2009 y 2011 Quien adem s fue ministro de Defensa, Sanidad y de Industria y Energ a, entre 1977 y 1982 en los sucesivos gobiernos de UCD, fallece en Madrid a los 92 a os.
Esta madrugada ha fallecido en Madrid a los 92 a os Alberto Oliart. Nacido en M rida en 1928, Oliart es un ejemplo de vocaci n pol tica tard a, ya que hasta la llegada de la democracia se hab a dedicado a labores de abogac a en entidades bancarias como el Hispano Americano o el Urquijo.
Con 49 a os se present a diputado por UCD en las elecciones de 1977 y el presidente Adolfo Su rez le encomend el Ministerio de Industria y Energ a, responsablidad que abandonar a en febrero de 1978.
En 1980 recupera la cartera ministerial, con la responsabilidad de Sanidad. Leopoldo Calvo Sotelo cont con Oliart para que asumiera el Ministerio de Defensa en el momento m s delicado de las Fuerzas Armadas en la historia reciente, tras la intentona golpista de febrero del 81. Posteriormente, ejerci como abogado del Estado.
En noviembre de 2009 el presidente Jos Luis Rodr guez Zapatero le conf a la presidencia de la Corporaci n Radio Televisi n Espa ola, sustituyendo, a Luis Fern ndez en el cargo. Oliart fue el tercer presidente de la RTVE que ocup este cargo desde que Rodr guez Zapatero llegara a la Presidencia del Gobierno en abril de 2004, y el segundo que lo hac a por acuerdo de PSOE y PP.
Apenas dos a os m s tarde, en julio de 2011, presentar a su dimisi n al por entonces presidente del Congreso, Jos Bono.
