Why We Ride Set For Global Release

Gnarlynow Entertainment and Walking West Entertainment have announced that Why We Ride is now available digitally, giving worldwide audiences access to this award winning film. For the first time, wherever Amazon and iTunes is available, audiences around the globe will be able to view the film that has brought the motorcycle community together in celebration of what it means to ride. The film is produced by Bryan H. Carroll and James Walker. Carroll also directed the film.

Why We Ride has sold over 20,000 DVDs domestically and is the winner of the 2014 Family Choice Awards, the 2014 AMA Hazel Kolb Brighter Image Award, the 2014 Portland Motorcycle Film Fest, and the 2013 Motorcycle Film Fest, and has been shown at over 200 screenings. Rider Magazine says that when you talk about stellar motorcycle movies, Why We Ride may be added to that A-List. The film stars famous riders and builders including: Arlen Ness, Mert Lawill, Brian Klock, Laura Klock, Ed Kretz Jr., Kenny Roberts, Done Emde, Alonzo Bodden and Valerie Thompson.

Carroll, well known in the entertainment industry as a technology leader for his work on over 25 films, including Titanic, Public Enemies, Miami Vice and Collateral, developed an innovative distribution plan in collaboration with Walker. Over the course of four months, the film has screened at over 200 fan hosted and dealer sponsored events in over 80 cities across the country with future screenings booked well into may. Additional events for festivals and charities have caused the popularity of the film to expand organically.

Carroll began production in July 2012, shooting interviews and footage of riders and racers in a variety of circumstances from the salt flats of Bonneville to the banked turns of Daytona. The film is a stunning attestation of the emotional and physical impact of riding, and also shows the increasing popularity of the sport among women, youth and families.
