American Tobacco Tower Lighting
Join American Tobacco as we celebrate the season IN PERSON with the lighting of the iconic American Tobacco Water Tower on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, from 6:30-7:30 pm in the American Tobacco Amphitheater.
Come early to shop and dine before the celebration begins. Well also have 2,000 light wands to distribute courtesy of our friends at Dominion Energy and NC 811.
This years show is packed full of some of the best young talents in Durham and the Triangle!
Barriskill Dance Theatre School
Catch 22 Vocal Band
Elevate
Empower Dance Studio
Walltown Children's Theater Group
The fun will include special appearances by Wool E. Bull, Rudolph, Frosty, and Mr. & Mrs. Claus.
After the tower lights, grab a hot cocoa, stroll the river and enjoy post-show music, art, and entertainment. And dont forget to take that holiday selfie with the illuminated American Tobacco Water Tower in the background! #WRALHolidays #ATCHolidays
Special thanks to the American Tobacco Tower Lighting Sponsors: Dominion Energy and NC 811.
Event COVID Protocols
Masks are highly recommended regardless of vaccination status (Complimentary masks will be available).
The City of Durham requires masks to be worn indoors to include ATC lobby areas and restrooms.
If you are not feeling well, as a courtesy to others, please stay at home and watch the tower lighting on WRAL and WRAL.com.
Cant join us in person? Capitol Broadcasting Company (CBC), WRAL-TV, American Tobacco Campus, and Rocky Mount Mills, will once again celebrate the 2021 holiday season by lighting the towers at all THREE locations in one very special TV event.
Watch from the comfort of your home Wednesday, December 1 at 7 PM only on WRAL and WRAL.com!
