ATTO Technology to Highlight Certified Storage Connectivity Solutions at NetApp Insight 2014 High performance connectivity solutions to solve bandwidth - intensive problems Amherst, NY (October 23, 2014) - ATTO Technology, Inc. announced today it will showcase its portfolio of NetApp-based certified connectivity solutions at both the NetApp Insight Americas show held in Las Vegas, Nevada October 27 through October 30 and NetApp Insight EMEA show in Berlin, Germany November 17 through November 20. ATTO, a member of the NetApp Alliance Partner Program will highlight its certified connectivity options for NetApp storage and data management solutions with the Celerity 8Gb and Gen 5 powered 16Gb Host Bus Adapters, ThunderLink Desklink devices, FastFrame 10Gb Ethernet Optical Network Interface Cards (NICs) and FibreBridge Fibre Channel - to - SAS/SATA Storage Controllers.
The changes happening within IT infrastructures today, are some of the most radical in over a decade, said Wayne Arvidson, vice president of marketing and channels at ATTO Technology, Inc. ATTO and NetApps partnership which integrates unique performance capabilities and technology, continues to offer next-generation solutions that support the new market requirements.
Enterprises and users in high performance markets are challenged by the increased amount and complexity of data sets and require technology solutions to quickly retrieve, analyze and process information. The combination of ATTOs high-performance connectivity, coupled with NetApp E-Series and EF-Series storage systems, which deliver up to 12 GB/s of sustained bandwidth and over 400K IOPs at sub millisecond latency, provides the solutions needed to meet those requirements. NetApps EF-Series all-flash arrays and E-Series platforms with ATTOs Celerity HBAs meet growing market demand for dense, performance-oriented architectures, delivering superior performance, reliability, efficiency and scale.
Celerity Fibre Channel HBAs are designed to cover the full performance spectrum from enterprise to workgroup, and server to workstation environments. The highly integrated family of adapters is engineered to optimized data transfer using a combination of exclusive features. ATTOs Multipath Director allows users to manage direct connections and multiple paths to NetApp enterprise storage systems, increasing the reliability of high performance Linux , Mac OS X and Windows applications, all while improving performance and protecting data through load-balancing and fail-over. ATTOs Celerity Gen 5 powered 16Gb Fibre Channel quad channel HBAs, the first of their kind in the market address the needs of Linux and Windows platforms in high performance computing, virtualization and other high-IOP and high-bandwidth environments.
ThunderLink devices provide fast, redundant and highly-available connectivity to NetApp enterprise-class storage and are an ideal solution for environments where small form factor platforms, such as laptops and all-in-ones need to connect to high performance storage and networks. Desklink devices provide Thunderbolt technology enabled connectivity and the versatility to handle any protocol while addressing the demands of rapidly evolving work environments. ATTOs Advanced Data Streaming (ADS ) manages latency in real-time environments. This results in higher application performance, better transaction processing and an ability to handle larger workloads.
FastFrame 10GbE NICs comprise a versatile, straightforward portfolio that can be used anywhere in the infrastructure, including servers, data center racked servers and workstations with Mac, Windows and Linux (server & workstation) operating systems. The FastFrame product line is available in both optical and 10GBASE-T configurations to extend architecture options.
The FibreBridge 6500 Storage Controller which ships with every NetApp Metro-Cluster-based system, integrates SAS/SATA disk or tape storage into a Fibre Channel SAN, increasing availability and scalability while allowing the use of NetApp FAS Series storage on a shared Fibre Channel network. Designed around ATTOs intelligent Controller Architecture which combines powerful hardware with an efficient data engine to create a platform that delivers performance with a rapid IO ramp and extremely low latency that enable users to configure seamlessly with NetApps DataOnTap operating system. FibreBridge also incorporates ATTOs Drive Map Director technology which reduces operating expenses by eliminating manual mapping of LUNs and the need to remap LUNs if a drive shelf is removed for maintenance or failure. Also included is ATTOs Virtual Device Response (VDR) technology which enables devices to queue and execute commands on behalf of busy or unresponsive tape storage, reducing the number of failed or incomplete backups.
