The SDVoE Alliance has outlined a programme of training sessions that it will host at ISE 2019 in Amsterdam, February 5 to 8.
Its AV-over-IP focused programme is aimed at system integrators, designers, consultants, installers and manufacturers.
Justin Kennington, president of the SDVoE Alliance, said: This year our education program at ISE is focusing on how SDVoE is transforming the matrix, how it is fundamentally changing the way we think about AV system design.
Our goal is to allow participants to leave the sessions with a thorough understanding of the many advantages of the SDVoE platform to deliver the quality and performance benefits of traditional matrix switches while at the same time taking advantage of the flexibility, scalability, and simplified system architecture afforded by Ethernet-based designs.
On February 6, 2019 the SDVoE Design Partner Certification Course will be held in Room G109 at the Amsterdam RAI. The course, that is also run online, will be given my Matt Dodd, master trainer from Clavia Group. It is suited to professionals with experience designing matrix-switch-based systems who want to explore the new design considerations that exist in the SDVoE paradigm. Two full sessions are offered at 10:00-11:30 or 14:00-15:30.
SDVoE Design Studies will allow attendees hear directly from the designers of SDVoE installations about challenges they faced and solutions they devised in a range of verticals. A ZeeVee installation at a university in Norway will be covered. Christie's Nick Wheeler will outline SDVoE at the Zurich Opera House, while Frank Sheehan, from HyperSphere, will talk about SDVoE at a large middle eastern oil company. Two different sessions will be held 11:30-12:30 and 16:00-17:00.
Quick Tech Talks will be held led by Christie, Netgear and ZeeVee and are titled New Architectures for Simplified Video System Design', Design a 144-port SDVoE System in 15 Minutes!' and How SDVoE Succeeds in Demanding Applications Where AV over IP Fails'
Interoperability demonstrations will be featured on the Lang AG (1-H50) and SDVoE Alliance (3-B150) stands.
The SDVoE Alliance will also present two AVIXA FlashTrack sessions on stand 13-N110 near the entrance of Hall C.
Understanding the Codec Triangle: Quality, Latency & Bandwidth will be led by Justin Kennington of the SDVoE Alliance on February 6 at 16:30.
Networking Fast Track: Why Do I Need to Know about Multicast? will be held by Laurent Masia of Netgear on February 8 at 12:30.
