
More than half of young Spaniards no longer sees the linear television Series bajo demanda y en el m vil, as es la nueva televisi n' que consumen los j venes. M s de cinco millones de espa oles (11%) afirman no consumir nunca televisi n y solo eligen plataformas de contenidos online y bajo demanda.
Seg n un estudio encargado por el Observatorio sobre nuevas tendencias de consumo del comparador Rastreator entre m s de 2.000 usuarios (de 18 y 65 a os residentes en Espa a), m s de la mitad de los j venes espa oles (50,9%) ya no ver a la televisi n convencional o lo har a solo en ocasiones puntuales. De hecho, el 20,3% afirma que nunca consume este tipo de televisi n y s lo opta por plataformas digitales como Netflix, HBO, Prime o Movistar+, entre otros.
Adem s, m s de 5 millones de espa oles, el 11% de la poblaci n entre 18 y 64 a os, afirma no ver nunca la televisi n convencional, y un 26,9% solo lo hace en ocasiones puntuales.
En los ltimos a os, se ha producido un cambio de tendencia en el consumo de entretenimiento en el hogar hacia plataformas de contenido bajo demanda. Los j venes son el colectivo que evidencia de forma m s llamativa esta evoluci n. De hecho, aunque el 63% de los espa oles ya consume televisi n bajo demanda, el porcentaje se eleva hasta el 77% en el caso de los usuarios entre 18 y 24 a os.
En cuanto el tipo de contenido, los espa oles prefieren las series y pel culas frente a los deportes o documentales. Incluso, el 65% elije su plataforma de contenidos en funci n del cat logo de series (70% en el caso de los j venes). Otro dato interesante es la influencia de las recomendaciones de amigos o familiares a la hora de consumir contenidos: el 69,6% de los usuarios entre 18 y 24 a os se gu a por estas recomendaciones, frente al 44% del colectivo entre 45 y 55 a os.
La tablet o el m vil sustituyen el televisor tradicional Una de las ventajas que ofrecen estas plataformas es la flexibilidad, con la posibilidad de disfrutar del contenido desde cualquier dispositivo m vil o descargarlo para verlo en cualquier momento o lugar, incluso sin conexi n a Internet, algo especialmente interesante para los usuarios m s j venes. De hecho, el 44% de los j venes espa oles utiliza el m vil o la tablet de forma habitual para ver series o pel culas, frente al 13% de los usuarios de entre 45 y 54 a os.
For Jes s Mi ana, responsable de Telefon a de Rastreator afirma que la forma de ver la televisi n ha cambiado por completo. El usuario ya no se sienta a consumir lo que dan' de forma pasiva, sino que ahora quiere ser protagonista activo y decidir qu quiere ver, d nde y en qu momento. Esto es a n m s llamativo entre los nativos digitales, que buscan la inmediatez, el poder consumir aquello que quieran en cualquier momento y desde cualquier lugar. Tanto es as , que el 52% de los j venes descarga contenido para verlo m s tarde desde su m vil o tablet, frente al 27% de los consumidores m s s nior (45-54 a os) .
Por Comunidades, Navarra (78%), Madrid (69%) y Cantabria (68%) ser an las que mayor n mero de usuarios consumen contenidos bajo demanda. En el lado contrario, se sit an La Rioja (54%), Galicia (55%) y Castilla y Le n (56%) como las comunidades aut nomas en las que estas plataformas cuentan con menor penetraci n.
