Bitcentral Inc., the leading provider of media workflow solutions, announces a reseller agreement with Foccus Digital to distribute Bitcentral's news production suite, Core News, and automated master control system, Central Control, in Brazil. The agreement, which sees Foccus appointed as a value-added reseller, involves technical support from Foccus's highly trained team, pre-sales, and sales.
Core News provides an elegant and efficient way to handle news production and is optimized to tasks that are vital to keeping mission critical newsroom operations running smoothly. It is trusted by over 450 channels across North America and over 1,000 media operations worldwide, delivering unparalleled levels of reliability and agility across ingest, asset management and live production. It allows broadcasters to maximize the value of their stories, producing content once and publishing it multiple times, and delivers the fastest camera to air toolset on the market with a highly customizable system that can be tailored to the needs of individual stations.
Meanwhile in the playout environment, Central Control provides a more efficient and cost-effective way of launching channels that meet the high demands of TV today. It offers more flexibility to broadcasters through its modular approach, where integrated components for playout, asset management, storage and ingest can easily be added to meet different customer needs. It enables broadcasters to easily take control of their own branding and ad insertion/live events, while network-wide content can be processed centrally and distributed easily to all remote stations.
Bitcentral has built a very strong customer base in North America, along with a reputation for operational excellence and 24/7 support that is essential to anyone working in a live, always-on news production and playout setting. Bitcentral's expansion strategy in Brazil, led by Amaury Silva, Sales Director for South America, will deliver the same high standard of localized first-level support and logistics to local broadcasters, with Foccus playing an integral role in achieving this.
