R&S Trusted Disk from Rohde & Schwarz Cybersecurity

Berlin, 29 September - For its first workplace solution that meets the strict requirements for the VS-NfD (classified information - for official use only) security standard set by the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI), HP is relying on R&S Trusted Disk hard disk encryption from Rohde & Schwarz Cybersecurity.

The package solution HP Sure Station consisting of powerful HP premium notebooks and VS-NfD-compliant security software, is aimed at ministries, government agencies and security-sensitive companies. It combines the high security requirements for storing and processing VS-NfD-classified information and secure Internet surfing with the demands of a modern, hybrid office environment. For hard disk encryption, a core element of the security architecture, HP relies on the BSI-approved R&S Trusted Disk solution from German IT security specialist Rohde & Schwarz Cybersecurity.

Highest security for classified information

The electronic processing of classified information is subject to strict legal requirements. Sensitive data must be protected against unauthorised access. To this end, only IT security products with special approval from the BSI may be used. The R&S Trusted Disk hard disk and data carrier encryption system is one such security product with approval for classified information at the Classified - For official use only', EU Restricted and NATO Restricted levels. It protects classified information on computers against unauthorised access, loss or theft, as well as during maintenance and repair of the device.

Premiere at the Smart Country Convention
