MIX 0.5 Radioon Starts Tuesday, Loveland and Fox Eager to Help Kids at Duke

WRAL-FM's Vanna Fox loves helping the kids at Duke Children's Hospital through MIX 101.5 s Radiothon each year.

Both WRAL-FM Morning Show Co-Host Lynda Loveland and WRAL-FM Traffic Coordinator/Morning Show Asst Producer Vanna Fox have a special place in their heart for the MIX 101.5 Radiothon for Duke Children's Hospital. Both ladies will work alongside their MIX colleagues all day next Tuesday & Wednesday, February 11 & 12, 2014, for the 20th annual effort to support the hospital and children and families their serve.

People often ask how we do it, said Fox. Every year the teams at Duke Children's and MIX become one team. The spirit, the love and the common goal of touching the life of a child has built a foundational relationship that will last a lifetime.

MIX staffers are so committed to the effort that everyone from the sales team to the promotions crew works on the phone bank. Celebrities stop by to offer encouragement and chat on-air. But the most powerful moments always come from the children and their families.

I never knew how strong the human spirit is or how brave a young child could be until I did my first Radiothon, said Loveland. I saw firsthand how important it is to support the lifesaving, lifegiving, efforts at the hospital. It's an investment that pays off in lives, in children living their lives.
