Pre-Production Graphics Supervisor

Determining the client needs and then allocating new projects to the best suited / available Graphic designer and CG operators, Keeping up to speed on graphic developments utilizing the internet and reading current publications, Estimates costs of different production methods to determine the most economical method for individual projects, Efficient coordination loading of animated graphic toolkits for play out as prescribed in the graphic style guide and by client's request.

Responsible and insuring all captions, pertinent information, statistics and graphic elements are captured correctly for play out.

Insuring commercial exposure is loaded correctly and in accordance with SOP for play out.

Insure all incoming and outgoing feeds are checked switched/patched to the correct destination point.

Insuring connectivity with external providers is connected and operational.

Responsible for checking all operational equipment in the facility is functional and fully operational at all times.

Ability to comply with Company HR policies and procedures.

Ability to maintain discipline in accordance with Company policies & procedures.

Ability to liaise with graphic designers and studios in order to ensure on time completion of graphics play-out for rehearsals.

Customers served in efficient, friendly and helpful manner

On-the-job, informal training of team members and junior staff.

Committed to the achievement and maintenance of quality; sets high standards of performance for self and others staff compliment and exchange and sharing of knowledge and expertise

Effective and efficient management operations, resources and people in order to ensure service delivery as per agreed customer requirements and to contribute to a successful production.

Requirements:

Matric / Grade 12

Relevant Diploma in animated Graphic design

Minimum of 3 year supervisory and administrator experience.

Minimum of 3 years broadcasting experience.

Knowledge of Character Generator software and hardware.

Minimum of 2year IT software and hardware knowledge.

Minimum of 1 year of graphic design software and peripherals will be an advantage.

Thorough knowledge of the principles and techniques of graphic composition and

presentation.

Thorough knowledge of the methods of graphic art production, including their relative

effectiveness and cost.

Ability to instruct, direct, and evaluate employees.

Ability to plan layout and design activities.

A self-motivated individual who is committed, hardworking and shows enthusiasm.

Willing to work shifts and weekends.

Ability to work with a diversity of people

General knowledge of various Sports.

Accurate with attention to detail

Ability to work under pressure, stress

Ability to effectively communicate with others.

Ability to maintain favourable public relations.

ADDED ADVANTAGE

Knowledge of HTML, XML, RSS and JavaScript.

NOTE: Equivalent combinations of education and experience that provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities will be evaluated on an individual basis.
