Cixi s tourism leading in Ningbo in reduction of energy consumption

In the Energy-saving and Consumption-reducing Campaign launched in all fields of the Cixi, tourism, the representative of Cixis image, is now becoming the trend -setter. Low-Carbon life has become the theme of Cixis tourism industry. From the Bureau of Tourism, reporters learned that in the first half of the year, Cixis Energy consumption per million turnover in tourism industry witnessed a 4.78% year-on -year decline. Unit area comprehensive energy consumption suffered from a year-on -year reduction of 12.3%.

With the increase of oil price, electricity price and labor cost, the resource-consuming restaurant industry now face a climbing operating cost. For this reason, all Star Hotels around Cixi have concentrated on resource-saving. A Consumption-reducing and Energy-saving Campaign with new technology, new energy and former facility optimization is now launched and remains prevalent.

Cixi Hotel is the first nationally Five-Leaf green restaurant company. Targeted Optimization of the hotels kitchens, warehouses and other parts have been accomplished. Emphasis has been put on energy-saving ,the use of substitute energy and energy regeneration, leading us to the wide use of LED illumination system and Solar Water Heating System..After the efficient ,energy-saving furnace core are utilized in the kitchen, energy consumption has been cut by over 30%.The construction of the biogas tank in the ecological farm of Hangzhou Bay Bridge, Solar photovoltaic panels, Wind-and-Solar Lights, the solar water heating system used by Cixi Tiandihuayuan Hotel, Screw central air conditioner used by Qiantang Guomai Hotel and Zhongyi Commercial Hotel,Air-Source Water Heating used by Hangzhou Bay Hotel and Cixi Hotel, Flue Gas Heat Recycling Measures taken by Cixi International Hotel have all been representatives of such energy-saving campaigns. According to statistics, the Energy consumption per million turnover of 4-Star hotels and more luxurious ones have declined 4.96% compared to the same period last year. Unit area comprehensive energy consumption faced a year-on-year reduction of 9.8%.

It is known that 7 nationally green restaurants, 2 provincially green restaurants have been successfully built in Cixi currently. Last April, Hangzhou Bay Hotel was ranked as a Benchmarking Enterprise in Energy-saving, also, the only listed hotel located in Ningbo.
