David Bowie is supported by Sennheiser

To ensure the best audio experience for visitors, the V&A is working in partnership with audio specialist Sennheiser. We are extremely pleased to work with the renowned Victoria and Albert Museum on this outstanding exhibition, said Paul Whiting, President of Global Sales at Sennheiser. We will not only bring equipment to this exhibition but also our audio expertise offering visitors an immersive 3DAudio experience.

Having recently celebrated his 66th birthday and launched a surprise new single ahead of his new album his first in 10 years - Bowie continues to be at the forefront of the world of popular music, where he has been for nearly 50 years, his artistic creativity positioning him as one of the most innovative performers of all time. Marked by continual re-invention, intellectual depth, musical innovation and striking visual presentation, the exhibition will look at Bowie's processes, influences and creativity.

Sound quality is at the core of the David Bowie is' experience and audio specialist Sennheiser will support the exhibition with expertise and audio equipment to make the quality of sound itself a key element of the exhibition. Following its run at the V&A the exhibition will then tour internationally and Sennheiser will continue to provide the equipment ensuring an optimum sound experience for the duration of the tour.

The exhibition is designed to be an audio experience, and every visitor will be able to immerse themselves in Bowie's music, art, and style via Sennheiser's guidePORT audio guide system. The system will seamlessly integrate sound material into the tour and automatically provide music and narrative when visitors approach the exhibits.

The audio voyage culminates in a Sennheiser 3DAudio experience: visitors are immediately enveloped by a fantastically spatial rendition of David Bowie's music played through hidden Neumann KH series loudspeakers.
