nangu.TV, the pioneering media platform provider for IPTV and OTT services, has unveiled a new OTT set-top box service, run on the nangu.TV platform in cooperation with Orange Slovensko. Recently launched in the Slovak market, the new solution allows Orange customers to watch Orange TV via its online service including the new premium Orange Sport sports channels at any location with internet access on standard TV sets.
The platform installation was extended with new components customized for local requirements of the Slovak market and infrastructure. nangu.TV further enhanced its streaming components, which, along with previously implemented geographic redundancy with automatic data recovery, has further increased the stability of the platform and its smooth operation.
The main attractions of the upgraded platform include, above all, higher data streaming stability, which can be seen by viewers for example, in continuous high-definition channel playback. The platform is also fully prepared for broadcasting in Ultra HD / 4K in IPTV multicast as well as OTT unicast distribution.
Thanks to the high flexibility on both sides, the solution was implemented in a very short time period. This cooperation proves that nangu.TV has been delivering carrier-grade solutions for its customers, said Karol Flak, Orange Slovensko TV Unit manager.
These technological improvements bring benefits to both the operator and to the operator's customers who will get a richer TV viewing experience. Viewers can exclusively watch the next three seasons of all UEFA Champions League matches, Slovak and Czech Football and Czech Ice Hockey League or M1 MMA matches and enjoy over 1,000 hours of live broadcasting and 1,500 hours of original content annually.
