Viewers of the SABC2 soapie Muvhango will have to watch the show at 7pm on Friday, 8 September due to the Rugby World Cup.

MUVHANGO' VIEWERS REACT TO NEW' SLOT Muvhango viewers revealed on social media that they will be watching other shows such as The River and House of Zwide, which also air at 7pm weekly.

The long-running SABC2 soapie will not air at its usual 9pm slot due to the Rugby World Cup game tonight, 8 September.

RUGBY GAME: 7PM The long-running TshiVenda soapie Muvhango will make way for rugby game between France and New Zealand, which kicks off on Friday, 8 September at 21:15, SA time.

The Rugby World Cup 2023 will be held for the second time in France and 20 nations contesting for the cup are divided into four pools of five teams: Pool A, Pool B, Pool C and Pool D.

The top two countries in each pool then qualify for the quarterfinals, before the knockout stage then moves to the semifinals and final.

SABC Head of Video Entertainment marketing assured media, last month at an event media launch, that there are no plans to cancel the show.
