EVS' C-Cast cloud based SaaS distribution platform combines with deltatre digital media players to offer new viewing experience and revenue sources for digital media rights holders
EVS, the leader in live video technology for broadcast and new media productions, presents a new extended offering at IBC (stand 8.B90) centered on its cloud-based C-Cast platform alongside digital media specialist and global sports business leader deltatre.
By connecting to C-Cast, EVS' scalable, cloud-based video-on-demand editing and distribution platform, deltatre's enhanced video players enable live multi-camera content to be instantly enriched with data and distributed to connected audiences.
With its new Syndication operation of C-Cast, digital media holders using the C-Cast platform can grant regional right holders, clubs/stadiums and sponsors access to content shared with C-Cast Central. This lets them quickly create customized, live Video On Demand (VOD) packages featuring content of interest to their specific audiences. Using an expansive publishing toolset and C-Cast API, digital media crews can easily manage personalized content collections for publishing on any partner or customer app, delivering an entirely new fan experience.
Immediate access to content and the ability to deliver and monetize that content in new ways is critical to the evolving live sports landscape, said Carlo De Marchis, chief product & marketing officer at deltatre. At IBC, attendees will be able to see how the latest technology enables not only completely new viewing experiences but also paves the way to new business models.
deltatre will be on the EVS stand showcasing the UEFA Next Generation Services that will be offered to broadcasters for coverage of the next UEFA Champions League. C-Cast will help drive a range of services including web and mobile app solutions enriched with deltatres enhanced video player for live and VOD streaming, as well as results, statistics and editorial content. A new Apple TV app will be also showcased as part of deltatres OTT offering, bringing football coverage to a new, beyond TV experience.
