SNS Reveals Transcode Accelerator v.2 at NAB Show 2025

An EVO-powered orchestration engine for Adobe Media Encoder St. Louis, MO - April 6, 2025 - Studio Network Solutions (SNS) today announced the latest version of Transcode Accelerator, a groundbreaking solution that vastly reduces the time required for processing large transcode jobs by intelligently distributing tasks to an organization's network of existing and available resources.

Building on the success of its predecessor, which can distribute transcode tasks across multiple EVO shared storage servers, Transcode Accelerator v.2 now also enables proxy generation tasks to be offloaded-partially or completely-to macOS workstations on the network running Adobe Media Encoder. This has the added benefit of reducing the load on the storage system, conserving its processing power for even higher priority tasks.

This is the first orchestration engine for Media Encoder that leverages existing hardware and software to pool CPU/GPU power and accelerate the proxy generation process. Specifically designed for automated, share-wide proxy generation, this solution speeds up the transcoding of high-resolution/raw codecs to ShareBrowser preview proxies and edit-ready proxies (including ProRes).
