DigitalGlue, creator of the award-winning creative.space Platform, has announced the release of creative.space OS 3.0.5, the latest software update within the creative.space Storage offering. The release is designed to reduce workflow complexity and improve speed, security, and collaboration for creative teams across media, entertainment, and enterprise environments. With creative.space OS 3.0.5, teams can consolidate review, archiving, asset organization, and remote access into a single system, reducing reliance on third-party tools and enabling faster decision-making and more efficient access to content, whether teams are working on-site or remotely.
The creative.space OS 3.0.5 release introduces creative.space Review, integrated archiving with seamless Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3) and LTO connectivity via Archiware P5, multi-space tagging and libraries, camera-to-storage ingest, and high-performance remote access. These enhancements further strengthen creative.space Storage as the foundation for modern production workflows.
creative.space Review
creative.space Review is DigitalGlue's built-in video review and approval experience, now integrated directly into creative.space OS. Creative teams can review, approve, reject, or delete content within threaded conversations, jump instantly to specific timecodes, and search within review threads, eliminating the need for third-party review tools. Markers can be exported to Adobe Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve, streamlining the path from feedback to final delivery.
Integrated Archiving and S3 Connectivity
creative.space OS 3.0.5 adds a dedicated tab for browsing Archiware P5, a data management and archiving solution, along with cloud archive indexes directly from the creative.space interface. Users can browse assets, initiate restores, manage archives, and monitor jobs without leaving creative.space OS, providing secure and cost-effective scalability across multiple storage tiers.
In addition, creative.space OS 3.0.5 introduces a built-in Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3) gateway that presents creative.space Storage as an S3-compatible endpoint. This enables direct camera-to-cloud (camera-to-creative.space) ingest, including RED Camera workflows, allowing footage to land immediately in centralized storage without relying on third-party cloud services or intermediate transfers.
Libraries Provide Smarter Asset Organization Across Spaces
creative.space OS 3.0.5 introduces Multi-Space Tagging, allowing teams to build centralized libraries across all projects and storage locations to organize and manage content across multiple spaces. Global tags and sections prevent duplication while making assets easier to find, regardless of where they live. Tag sidecars enable more flexible and extensible metadata management.
This capability is especially valuable for batch exports, VFX plates, shared working sessions, and client-facing libraries, with color-coded tagging that accelerates search and discovery.
Camera-to-creative.space
Initially previewed at NAB 2025, camera-to-creative.space is now available in creative.space OS 3.0.5. The feature automatically ingests footage from RED and other cameras directly into creative.space Storage, streamlining the path from shoot to edit and removing delays associated with slow cloud transfers.
Expanded File Inspector Functionality
creative.space OS 3.0.5 adds support for creating thumbnails for InDesign, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and eBook files. Thumbnail caching improves performance and accelerates file previews.
Faster, More Secure Remote Access
creative.space OS 3.0.5 provides remote desktop access based on WireGuard technology, delivering speeds up to four times faster than traditional ZeroTier VPNs. The release also enables secure browser-based access without desktop installation, working seamlessly with the Client user role for libraries-based browsing, review, and approval. A tunneled reverse proxy architecture eliminates exposed ports, while granular, role-based permissions and multi-factor authentication options provide enterprise-grade security for internal teams and external collaborators.
Additional Enhancements Include:
Added support for additional Blackmagic HyperDeck models
Improved search with enhanced filtering, performance, and usability
UI and UX updates to modals, dropdowns, notifications, and core components
An enriched notification system that prevents duplicate notifications and delivers clearer messages
Expanded backend metadata processing with support for additional file types, more efficient metadata extraction, and the ability to hide network interfaces
More granular user authentication and permissions controls
API rate limiting to improve stability and prevent abuse
Bug fixes across file selection and filtering, styling, data fetching and caching, file restoration, database queries, and endpoint functionality
creative.space OS 3.0.5 is focused on reducing friction across the entire workflow, said Tim Anderson, CEO/CTO at DigitalGlue. By bringing review, archiving, ingest, and remote access directly into creative.space Storage, teams gain a faster, more secure, and more intuitive way to work without juggling disconnected tools.
creative.space OS 3.0.5, part of the creative.space Storage offering within the creative.space Platform, is available now.
