SCTE ISBE PROMOTES ZENITA HENDERSON AND ROBIN FENTON TO VICE PRESIDENT, STEVE HARRIS TO EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR Moves Boost Capabilities to Deliver on Industry Needs in Key Market Areas

DEC. 10, 2018 (Exton, PA)-The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) and its global arm, the International Society of Broadband Experts (ISBE), today announced the promotions of three team members-Zenita Henderson, Robin Fenton, and Steve Harris-in conjunction with the organization's intensified focus on key industry needs.

The promotions, which are intended to boost capabilities in such areas as marketing and events, membership, and learning and development, coincide with key initiatives as SCTE ISBE enters its 50th anniversary year. Initiatives include deployment at scale of the CORTEX Expert Development System and the initial year of the 10-year plan for SCTE ISBE Cable-Tec Expo as the industry's largest and most valuable event for technical thought leadership and innovation. The promotion specifics are:

Zenita Henderson to Vice President, Marketing and Business Development, with responsibility for all marketing and communications activities, as well as overall responsibility for the planning and execution of SCTE ISBE Cable-Tec Expo;

Robin Fenton to Vice President, Membership & Learning Operations, with continued responsibility for all membership and chapter activity, as well as new management for the development and implementation of training and certification programs by SCTE ISBE's Learning & Development arm; and

Steve Harris to Executive Director, Technical Sales, Learning & Development. Harris will work with Fenton to guide content development and will play an increased role in the sale of SCTE ISBE content that improves workforce capabilities and increases operator ROI.

With new technologies central to the industry's future, SCTE ISBE is more important than ever to operators' success, said Mark Dzuban, president and CEO of SCTE ISBE. Zenita Henderson, Robin Fenton, and Steve Harris all have the industry expertise, the passion, and the leadership skills that can help our members accelerate deployment, drive workforce excellence, and generate bottom-line results.

Henderson, who began her cable career at Toner Cable and then in customer service with General Instrument, joined SCTE ISBE in 2016 as director, marketing operations and business development. She was promoted to senior director in 2017 and added responsibility for national conferences earlier this year. Previously, she had spent nearly three decades in various key roles with General Instrument, Motorola, and ARRIS. A 2014 inductee into the Cable TV Pioneers, Henderson received WICT Philly's Inspire Award in 2015 and has been named multiple years by Cablefax as one of the Most Powerful Women in Cable and one of the Most Influential Minorities in Cable. She is currently president of the Philadelphia chapter of Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT).

Fenton began her SCTE ISBE career as standards administrator and was named director, chapter support in 2006. She was promoted to senior director, membership and chapter relations in 2015 with responsibility for developing and executing strategies that promote learning and development, workforce excellence, and industry engagement across more than 70 SCTE ISBE chapters and nearly 20,000 members. In 2016, she added responsibilities for the customer experience. Fenton also has experience in the utility, manufacturing, and broadcasting industries.

Since joining SCTE ISBE in 2010-first as director, advanced network technologies program development and later as senior director, technical education-Harris has been instrumental in the growth of the Society's technical training and certification portfolio. He holds degrees in electronics and telecommunications, as well as 70-plus industry and instructor certifications, and is sought after nationally and internationally for his technical and training expertise. Prior to joining SCTE ISBE, Harris was responsible for the development of the adult learning curriculum and customized technical content for regional and national markets of Comcast, during which time he won the inaugural SCTE ISBE L&D Award. He also developed technical higher education content for a decade at Camden County College and Rowan University, both located in New Jersey.
