London & Copenhagen Delegation

As part of our continuing program of international engagement to foster investment and co-production opportunities, were inviting producers and production executives to express interest in joining our official delegation to London and Copenhagen in October 2015.

Led by our CEO, Matthew Deaner, the trip is timed to commence post-MIPCOM with delegates benefiting from a range of meetings, networking and social gatherings organised in advance with the assistance of PACT, the Danish Producer's Association, the Danish Film Institute and Ministry of Culture as well as ABC Television.

Our Members have had incredible success in the UK in the past decade. Many television productions have received excellent time slots and universal admiration, ground breaking interactive commissions from UK companies have lead the world in innovation, Australian children's live drama and animation production is envied and feature films have charmed and terrified British audiences in equal measure.

The London engagement program will further our relationship with PACT and its members and provide real openings for developing mutually beneficial business opportunities.

Copenhagen, Denmark 14-16 October 2015

The Danes are lauded for their television drama and strong local feature film industry. Danish feature films are noted for portraying realistic characters, challenging the zeitgeist, sexual frankness, and technical innovation from world-renowned filmmakers including Lars von Trier and, more recently, Susanne Bier.

Recently their outstanding television dramas, particularly The Killing (3 seasons) and Bergen, have taken the world by storm and won accolades and awards across numerous territories. These two productions provide no better examples that language is no barrier when compared to superior production values and excellent screenwriting.

With direct government involvement through the Danish Ministry of Culture, Copenhagen will offer an opportunity for Australian production businesses to meet with Danish producers in a market rarely, if ever, engaged with by the local industry.
