Key Technology Demos for Pay-TV Operators

nanoCDN Multicast ABR

Broadpeak runs its nanoCDN V1.3 technology on a variety of 4K STBs for multicast ABR delivery demonstrating how operators can cost-effectively deliver live 4K content. Leveraging home networks, nanoCDN allows operators to manage the consumption peaks in live multiscreen services for millions of simultaneous viewers using only a few megabits per second from their network. This is done by implementing multicast support for most popular ABR formats.

Cloud PVR

At SCTE Cable-Tec Expo Broadpeak will demonstrate all scenarios for shared copy and private copy cloud PVR. Using Broadpeak's Cloud PVR solution, operators can deliver a broad range of advanced television services, such as start-over, time-shift, and catch-up TV, as well as impulsive recording on any device, without deploying new hardware in subscriber households. The solution's unique recording method is called advanced shared copy and allows multiple end users to record the same piece of live content only once, optimizing recording bandwidth and storage consumption. By supporting a variety of applications, including ad insertion, Cloud PVR opens up new revenue opportunities for operators.

The solution includes Broadpeak's BkM100 CDN Manager and record manager module, BKS100 servers for TS content recording, and BkS300 Origin servers for adaptive bitrate content recording.

Broadpeak's CDN in a box dramatically simplifies the deployment of video streaming services by providing operators with essential capabilities, such as CDN management, video analytics, video streaming servers, and origin packaging. Video Delivery Analytics

Broadpeak will bring its new standalone video analytics solution for displaying player feedback to SCTE Cable-Tec Expo.
