miniCASTER , the worlds first truly mobile pocket encoder and recorder with a HDMI input will be available in May 2012.

Working with the HDMI-in model enables producers to connect their DSLR, camcorder, Helmet camera or any HDMI-out video source to the pocket sized H.264 encoder and have the LIVE stream delivered to the leading CDNs like Akamai, TV1.EU, Limelight or Level (3), but also to the LIVE portals of livestream.com, ustream.com and justin.tv. The HDMI miniCASTER comes fully loaded and needs no additional fees for Recording, Transport stream etc.. Due to a built-in Lithium battery the unit can be operated wirelessly for up to 30 minutes and managed via Remote Management portal. Thanks to a built-in De-Interlacer the stream output quality is one-of-a-kind.

Just like the SDI-in model the new HDMI-in model is also capable of streaming in High Definition with up to 8 Mbit/s and allows any producer to broadcast live over the internet at unmatched prices.

miniCASTER is a truly mobile hardware based H.264 HD camera-top live encoder in pocket size that converts any camera or video source signal into an IP based livestream and delivers it via landline, dualband WiFi, satellite or 3G/4G networks to the leading Content Delivery Networks and video platforms. Through a built-in lithium battery it is possible to work stand-alone. miniCASTER generates one HD and one SD Stream in parallel and is able to record on SD-Card in the device itself at the same time.
