Bachelorettes Ana, Britany, Chantelle, and Laura B. go home in week four
The Bachelor Canada airs Wednesdays at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT on Citytv
TORONTO (October 25, 2012) From new love to love lost, emotions ran high as Brad Smith and the bachelorettes bared their souls in a revealing episode of The Bachelor Canada last night on Citytv. Getting things off to a tense start, host Tyler Harcott delivered a shocking announcement that Brad in an effort to stay true to himself and his feelings would once again be eliminating four girls at the rose ceremony.
From TV screens to glossy magazines, Brad's first date of the week saw Ana, Britany, Gabrielle, and Kara join him for their very own LOULOU magazine/Rimmel London photo shoot. After turning up the heat both onscreen and off, things took a serious turn when Britany opened up to Brad about her tumultuous family history. Then, needing more time to make his decision, Brad surprised all four girls by choosing not to hand out a rose on the date. With a two-on-one and a one-on-one date still up for grabs, Whitney took matters into her own hands, tracking down Brad in his hotel room, where he opened up about his painful past for the first time. Later, Brad whisked Bianka and Laura B. away to Paris for individual dates in the city of love, ultimately sending Laura B. home and securing the first hometown visit by giving Bianka the rose. Finally, Brad chose Whitney for the only one-on-one date of the week. Testing their intense connection by rappelling down a rock cliff in Penticton, B.C., Brad then took another leap of faith, giving Whitney a rose and securing a visit to her hometown next week.
Later, Chantelle received tragic news from home that her grandfather had passed away and made the difficult decision to leave Brad and the mansion to be with her family. With only seven girls remaining and only Bianka and Whitney safe from elimination the three bachelorettes who did not receive roses were (in alphabetical order):
Ana, 26 (server), from Ottawa
Britany, 23 (nurse), from Swift Current, SK
Laura B., 23 (cocktail waitress), from Ottawa
Next week, Wednesday, Oct. 31 at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT, Brad visits the hometowns of the four remaining bachelorettes for one of most important steps in any relationship meeting the parents. But instead of finding the answers he needs, Brad is left wrestling with the truth of what he's learned versus what his heart desires. Find out who will receive a rose and go on to meet Brad's family as his search for love continues with the final four bachelorettes Bianka (Mississauga, ON); Gabrielle (Oakville, ON); Kara (Delta, B.C.); and Whitney (Calgary).
