Richard Bona Joins Berklee for Signature Series Concert The Grammy-winning Cameroonian bassist and vocalist collaborates with students and faculty in a program drawing on jazz, pop, and African musical traditions.

Berklee's Signature Series presents Richard Bona Meets Berklee on Monday, March 30, at 8:00 p.m. at the Berklee Performance Center. The program pairs Bona, a Grammy-winning bassist, composer, and vocalist, with a student and faculty ensemble, showcasing the technical brilliance and heartfelt storytelling that define his music. The concert is produced by the Professional Performance Division and directed by voice instructor Paola Munda.

Bona is one of the most distinctive and globally celebrated musicians of his generation. Blending the rich musical traditions of his native Cameroon with jazz, pop, and world influences, he has built a career defined by masterful artistry, innovation, and joy. Known for his virtuosic bass playing, soaring vocals, and magnetic stage presence, he has collaborated with artists including Pat Metheny '96H, Herbie Hancock '86H, Bobby McFerrin '03H, Chaka Khan '04H, and Quincy Jones '51 '83H.

It is a tremendous honor to bring Richard Bona to Berklee for this special performance, said Munda. His music and artistry have shaped numerous genres, from Afrobeats to jazz to fusion, all of which have inspired our students to pursue music of their own and to find their unique voice. Richard has always been a performer who embraces reinvention and growing his musical sound-a lesson we can all learn as artists.

Tickets for Richard Bona Meets Berklee are $19.50-$26.00 and can be purchased online and at the Berklee Box Office.
